CPAP Therapy is typically the first line of treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The CPAP machine sends positive air pressure into a patient's upper airway through a mask attached to the machine. This air pressure holds the patient's airway open as they sleep, preventing it from collapsing and causing apnea events. If chosen as treatment, CPAP Therapy should be utilized every night.

If CPAP therapy is prescribed, Comprehensive Sleep Medicine will arrange monthly clinical follow-ups to ensure that utilization and compliance is going smoothly. The follow-up data will be sent to your referring doctor each month.
